Apple are no doubt as excited as everyone one else about the mouth watering prospect of iPhone ‎TV. Not only will the be able to find some way of making money from it directly – probably from ‎the cut they take on data usage – but there are plenty of other rather sexy ways to get money from ‎their lovely users.Ofcourse gPhone TV will compete tough to get that market.‎

Firstly there will be the chance to charge for the advertisements offered on iPhone TV; second they ‎will be able to provide one more thing that the iPhone does: iPhone TV then becomes another ‎important string to Apple’s bow.‎

Selling advertisements will be a lucrative business for Apple and a world of interesting ‎opportunities for the advertisers. Not only will advertisers know that they have got a pretty captive ‎and very interested ‘techno-geek’ audience, but there will be the potential for geo-targeting ‎customers depending on which shops or services are nearby. This is only my postulation, but ‎iPhone TV could be a big thing for a big group of people.‎

Apple will not be the first to bring television to a handheld device but I have no doubt that they ‎will be the ones that do it the best. Apple just doesn’t know any other way.‎

What does iPling do? Essentially it’s a social networking application designed specifically for use with 3G enabled iPhones. Rather creepily it allows anonymous users to contact and discuss shared interests. Fortunately iPling manages to keep your phone number and email address from the other person: they only find out sensitive information about you if you give it to them.

Like many iPhone apps its use is going to be subject to fads; like any social network it will rely on a critical mass of people who are going to use this before it becomes usable. Other iPhone apps suffer the same problem.

The iPhone is a gadget that targets a particular corner of the market very actively; unfortunately it only corners that section of the market and you’ve got to ask just how successful you think a social networking app will be in that context.

The variety of the music library available to you may have a large bearing on the service you use to get your iPhone music. A service dedicated to classical downloads may be just what you’re after; on the other hand it might be your worst nightmare. Most services cover most genres but occasionally their content in a certain genre my be thin at best. Check this out before you commit. If you can get some kind of free trial then this is the best way to gauge the utility of the iPhone music on offer.

Being a bit of an Apple geek I thought I’d do some research on the app store. It seems that Apple have big plans. It seems also that, for once, Apple hasn’t predicted what will happen in the real world.

Apple, it seems, originally planned for the situation where each app bought in the app store would cost around $10. That would bring them $3 in revenue (they will be taking a 30% cut); added up over the millions of apps likely to be served through the app store, Apple will soon make a healthy profit.

They hadn’t imagined, though, that around 71% of all apps would be offered for free through the app store; nor had they imagined that their estimate price of $10 would be so far off the mark. This is the harsh reality that is being painted by a recent survey of 20 iPhone developers at WWDC which suggested that the average cost of an app would be – gulp — $2.29.

Of course while this is fairly bad news for Apple (they’ll bounce back, I’m certain) it’s fantastic news for users like me.

If you’re looking for an Apple iPhone games then you might be disappointed: online stores have reportedly run out, and brick and mortar establishments are running low. Why would Apple, one of the biggest companies in the world, allow stocks of their top selling toy to lapse so dramatically. The answer is in the question: they allowed this to happen.

So the next rather obvious question is why they would do this. Well, that’s easy when you think about it, too. Apple’s plan is to release the next generation of iPhone games in the relatively near future; holding back on stocks of the older iPhone games helps in three ways. Firstly it creates a demand which the new version will then satisfy. The second reason is that Apple are very keen to sell their iPod/iPhone hybrid thingy. Thirdly it simply saves them having to make and ship more old iPhone games that would then potentially be recalled.

The 3g iPhone is due to be released sometime this summer, almost a year after the original model came out. A few weeks before the 3g iPhone is released supplies of the old model will dry up; this should, if Apple’s plan goes to plan – leave a lacuna in supplies of the gadget which in turn will fuel a greater demand. Then, bang. Out comes the new model.

Once the new 3g iPhone is out no doubt looking sleeker than ever (it is rumored to be 2.5mm thinner than the current model (which is pretty darn thin)), AT&T and Apple will offer the new model with a massive $200 price cut. Make this deal available to new customers that have to sign a two year deal for the service provided, and you’re on for a financial success story.

Here’s the big news: the iPhone downloads will it creat problems? is making its perilous way across choppy waters to Europe. And quite a storm it promises to bring with it. The even thought their are good downloads available for iPhone has been super popular in the US and its release in Europe is timed to perfection. Typically Apple.

The electronics and media giant has reportedly been in talks with service providers in the UK, Germany and in France. While this leaves the other European countries out in the rain a little, they can rest easy knowing that at least the iPhone downloads are free and fun to watch is on the right continent.

Apple’s recent leak (intentional this time, perhaps not given the speed with which the offending pictures were removed) of its latest incarnation of the iPod Nano indicates an exciting time for Apple fans, whether in Europe or for free iphone downlaods further away.
