Who would have thought that a young lady, a young gun tooting, mouse hunting, hockey mom with 5 bouncing children, could lay claim to the title of being the most popular Governor in the US? That woman is the incredible Sarah Palin.
Although the route into politics must have been a bumpy one, Sarah Palin has made it look relatively smooth. Her ascendancy to the heady position of Governor of Alaska is made all the more impressive when you consider that Sarah Palin represents not only the first ever female Governor, but also the only Governor to have been born since Alaska became a part of the United States.
Sarah Palin has the rare attribute of seemingly being able to perform deeds because she believes in them, rather than because they will win her more voters. On the whole this has won her more friends than enemies, but there are enough of the latter for it to be a concern. A notable incident of this nature is the Bridge to Nowhere. Sarah Palin has not been overly concerned with taking the party line, and has broken ranks when her beliefs were at stake.
Whatever you think about Sarah Palin, she is without a doubt a very interesting woman.
