Salvia

Written by Carmela on Apr 21st, 2008 | Filed under: General

Name a drug that is stronger than Marijuana, has hallucinogenic properties similar to those of LCD and PCP, and yet is completely legal and available all over the Internet? Salvia.

If you haven’t heard of Salvia – full name Salvia Divinorum – then you will soon since legislators all over the U.S. are planning on banning it soon. Far from it being a menace on our streets Salvia has been cited as a cause directly associated with a death in zero cases. Never has it been the cause of death. Contrast this to Marijuana, PCP or LSD.

Salvia’s hallucinogenic properties generally last no more than an hour or so, and it is this short time span that many commentators cite as the reason it is not more widely shunned. Its legality means that parents have rarely heard of it and the fact that parents are not campaigning has not spurred the legislators into immediate action. This is changing, however, and it is likely that more and more States will start to ban or limit the use of Salvia.

So, get it while it’s hot!
