Self reflection is one of those things that you don’t realize is vitally important until you start to do it. Here’s a tip for everyone at LifePath Unlimited: start sooner rather than later.
Self reflection is actually really easy. Let me give you an example of what I do on a daily basis. I sit down with a pencil and a notepad and I ask myself a few simple questions:
- Where am I right now?
- Where do I want to be?
- How do I get there?
- What am I doing at the moment that is going well? What can I do to make sure I do more of this?
- What isn’t going so well? How do I learn from this and make sure I don’t do it again?
These few simple questions, if answered accurately and without trying to mask anything you don’t want to admit to yourself (there really only is one loser if you start to do that), can really help you to tell a lot about yourself. Once you start, and once you get the hang of it, you will get more and more insight into your own situation.
Self reflection helps you to see what action you need to take. It focuses the mind and allows you to move swiftly and efficiently towards your goals.
Three years ago – it seems much shorter than that, but there we are – I was drifting pretty aimlessly running a semi-successful home based business with the Liberty League International opportunity. I was making good money but I was ultimately unfulfilled; being unfulfilled was a huge problem for me. I didn’t really realize that I reached a stage of stagnation until I had drifted too far. Like being in an inflatable dingy at sea: you don’t realize that you’re too far from the shore until it’s too late.
So, with the help of a little self reflection (this was when I starting doing this on a regular basis), I moved onto bigger and better things. I am now with LifePath Unlimited and I am loving every single minute of it.
