A plethora of video games are available in the market today. Action, sport, racing, fighting etc games come with advanced sound and graphics. More and more developers are aiming toward making the video games more interactive and challenging. Since gaming has almost become a serious hobby, we find consumers looking for fun, upbeat and challenging games. One of the more popular genres is strategy based games. Strategy games require the user to take control of a situation and resolve it by developing a strategy. Strategy games give the player a god-like view of the setting or give them a clear picture of the happenings. The player normally interacts with other game components directing them or guiding them to achieve something or resolve a situation. Strategy games are liked mostly by those who like to make decisions and take charge. These games are designed based on a real-life situation or they have fictional elements with an application of logic from real life. Games that
simulate warfare or military operations are largely popular today. The other logic based games like chess can also be called Strategy Games. Something that is based on planning and logic instead of luck
comes under this category. Backgammon also comes under this category though there is a little chance involved.
